Sean is a scriptwriter and Associate Professor of Media, Journalism & Digital Storytelling. When I first met Sean he was working with Warner Bros. in LA. He now works at Asbury University, a Christian university in Kentucky. In this first part of our interview we talk about how he became a Christian, and about how God lined up all sorts of things that you wouldn’t think would go together to bring him to where he is now.

Catherine is an actor. She lives in Kentucky and I recorded this interview with her over the internet. There were a few Skype issues in as we chatted which mean that there are some delays and jumpy bits occasionally. But I’ve cut out the worst of it. Catherine’s acting skills helped us out a fair bit as we repeated bits and pieces of the interview. Catherine talks in this interview about the acting life, the spiritual children that she has ‘adopted’ over the course of her life, and how she has chosen not to have biological children, among other things.

Christina and I continue our conversation from last week. She said after the interview that she wanted to be clear that having a large family is a lot of hard work. We talk children, male and female roles, God’s provision, and diversity. Christina and I had a wonderful conversation about hospitality, art and music. She and her family show hospitality in various ways to backpackers who are working in the orchards in the Huon Valley. She is a harpist and composer and shares her faith through her music, and she also supports visual artists to share their work and their art through the Pilgrim Artists Festival.

Celeste has travelled a few places in response to God’s call on her life. A few years ago she came from Argentina to Tasmania, and now she is in England. She talks about depending on God, about stepping out in faith, and about God knowing our needs before we ask them.
William Temple said, ‘When I pray, coincidences happen, and when I don’t, they don’t.’
