Kath is all about community. It comes out in everything she shares in this interview. She talks about sharing in Indigenous communities in the red centre, about creating community in the school where she works as chaplain, and in the community where she lives and is planting a church. She tells us how important community was to her when her beautiful son Tom was spending his last days here on earth.

Kath shares with us also a lesson that I felt I really needed to learn about grief. Tom passed away almost ten years ago, but Kath still feels that grief daily. Not in a tragic way that has stopped her from living, but somehow Kath manages to bring Tom and his smile and his amazing faith into her daily life. Her grief is not something to ‘get over’ but something to weave into the day-to-day aspects of life.
